I think we are at cross-purposes.
I do not deny your cap is definitely a Lucas part but I am not sure what the one I have is. All I know is does look very similar to yours with the leads coming out in a horizontal cluster from under a disc cover retained by two screws .
I shall give it a clean and look more closely tomorrow – when the beer has worn off!
