Top strip is fixed to shell with small bracket screwed at each end.
Boot “surround” only fits to the return on the sides and bottom of the lid with the bottom corners chamferred and the top edges blended and the clips evenly spaced
Mine is small boot so can’t help with pictures but I am sure somebody else will now do so.
