      Hi,
Does anyone have a picture of the way that the cable connects to the clutch arm so that I can compare with the way mine has been engineered?

My Slough 1939 Roadster has a cable & rod operated clutch. The cable runs between the starter motor and the body to a “cam” which is connected to a rod that pulls the clutch arm.

Is this a normal way to set up and operate the clutch or is it something that is peculiar to my car (note the engine is a DS19 3 bearing engine with a 4 speed gearbox).

The problem I’m having is that the pivot point of the cam has worked loose and the cable end of the “cam” is lifting due to the pressure and angle of the cable. By “lifting” I mean bending upward from the horizontal. I suspect that this will eventually cause a fracture at the point marked in RED

      Photo’s and suggestions welcome!

Thanks for posting this Den, Much appreciated – I can see that they are different, but similar.
Your is a single piece, whereas my is “bits of metal” welded together,

Does your clutch cable have an adjuster under the exhaust pipe?

or is the cable actually a rod?
