Hi, I’ve recently bought a Slough build Light 15, but the brakes require some attention. The front flexible hoses are not secured. I’ve seen examples where there is a plate mounted off what I’m going to call the front suspension mount (as shown on a French car) . This is missing on mine, (the plate not the suspension). There is also a clip like bracket welded to the body, could this be where the hose is fixed to?

      see attached images

      Can anyone advise?

      Cheers

      Simon

The first photo shows a normal hose mount. The second looks like a bodge. The hose should go from that mount bracket directly to the wheel cylinder. It can’t be too hard to find the bracket or have one made.

          Hi Larry,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes that was my conclusion also.

I could do with knowing the width, thickness of the plate as well as the distance between centres so I can make some. If anyone has easy access I’d be greatful.

          Cheers Simon
