Just wanted to say hi from across the pond.  I’m in the process of buying a 1953 11BL.  It’s French built and apparently spent time in California after being shipped from France.  I’ve joined the Traction Owner’s Club because of the wealth of information and I look forward to digging into this car.  There’s not a whole lot of support for this vehicle over here in the states so I’m sure I’ll be asking all sorts of questions.  Overall the car seems to be in good shape but I’ll learn more when I start getting to drive it regularly.  Looking forward to all sorts of adventures with this car.

Congratulations! Looks like a good one. You will love it. Parts are easy from many sources. Maintenance isn’t difficult but it’s best to have Traction-specific tools which are available. Good luck with it!

Thanks Larry.  Yes, I figure I’m going to have to acquire some Traction-specific tools over time as I can’t really borrow any from the UK based chapters.

Just a follow up message, I now have my 1953 11BL at home in the garage.  Have driven it a few times and will continue sort different things on it.  Need to get the fuel gage working!

Congratulations. Was that the euro Asian bob car?

Richard, yes that was the car Bob acquired.  He picked it up along with some other vehicles from a collection in California and brought it to Wichita, Kansas.

It looks very smart, hope you enjoy it.

Yes, it’s been fun so far and I’m learning a lot.  I’ve had to pull the carburetor because it was leaking fuel.  Got it worked on and hoping to reinstall it shortly

Citroen classics here (uk and actually very near to me) now do the club spares . I think they do overseas posting still as they have supplied omega ( car wizard) for his D.

i am hopefully about to jump into traction ownership this month after a decade in the club.
