I need to replace the rubber boot on the steering rack, drivers side of my Slough 15  . Was thinking of using the leather type, would appreciate any information on how to fit this or where I can find instructions.

Leather concertina steering rack gaiters are normally split along the length to permit fitting without dismantling the  hardware.

once in place, there is an overlap to retain grease and prevent dirt/dust ingress.  They are then secured in place by a number of circular wire spring clips which lock into position once fitted.

No special tools are necessary to fit these, you just need to raise and support the front end high enough to work underneath.

If you currently have moulded polymer gaiters, they will need to be cut off.
