I just saw this on the CCC Forum. So a bit short notice (as it is tomorrow) but i thought I’d add it here.

“Citroen car owners along with Norwich main agent Duff Morgan are to celebrate that other occasion when European people rose up against the powers of the land – ‘Bastille Day’! Being normal for Norfolk however, they are holding their event on Sunday 17th July rather on the 14th itself!

After a first time experiment, last year, at which 4 dozen members of the Citroen Car Club attended, this year the invitation has been extended to any owners of vehicles made by Citroen, Panhard or the newer DS marqué. In 2015 the range of cars ranged from the latest Cactus right back to the immediate post war Traction Avant such as Maigret would have known and loved.

Any model old or new is most welcome to join this free event being held at the Whiffler Road dealership from 10.00am on the Sunday morning. A special Exhibition is being mounted in Duff Morgan’s ‘Express Service workshop with a selection of cabriolets. It is hoped that traction, Panhard, 2cv special and modern DS clubs will also be in attendance. Meanwhile the showroom will also be open to view the up to date range of cars”

Duff Morgan are circulating their client base about the event and revealing that the “Express Service Manager” as well as Sales staff will be on hand to give advice. He has said that he would be happy to help if anyone has electronic problems with intermediate aged cars.

I am trying to copy all this in to the Traction, 2CV, Citroen Specials. Panhard and specific DS clubs but if you have personal contacts, please do pass this on & encourage them to join us for what could be an unusually varied Display.

It will be the same as last year from 10.00am to 4.00pm but if you wish to bring an exhibition convertible along we will be setting up the exhibition hall on the Saturday afternoon.

If you definitely planning to come do send me (Bill Maxted ( boats@riverine.co.uk )an e-mail so we can save you a good place. Unlike last year we will be setting up shop inside the showroom as well (NOT JUST C.C.C.) so if you have any literature relating to other related clubs do feel free to bring and display it. Coffee and biscuits tea and soft drinks will be available free but you will to sort out your own lunches, I am afraid

If you know of any Citroen/Panhard/DS owner, even if they are not a member of any club, feel to invite them to join us. Equally if you have an e-mail address for a contact who I should e-mail please do let me know, Whilst C.C.C. are ‘promoting’ the event and Duff Morgan ‘sponsoring’ it, it is no way exclusive and other clubs or indeed specialist businesses are welcome to be involved and promote themselves.
