I recently sold a complete Mike Tennant’s “silentbloc” wishbone spindle replacement kit which I had bought many years ago but never fitted.

Despite having Mike’s original, comprehensive, instructions, the buyer is apparently experiencing a problem fitting them.

Unfortunately, I have no experience to answer his question.  He would therefore like to talk to somebody who has done the job.

If you can possibly help – or if you know ssomebody else who can – please contact me via president@traction-owners.co.uk so I may put you in touch with one another.

      Many thanks.

I realise this question was posed a while ago. Did this ever get resolved? I fitted a silentbloc type wishbone spindle last year. Not from Mike T though. Seemed quite straightforward once I scraped all the crud off and could see where the clamps and nuts were. Then setting the castor angle needed some care. I think fitting the silentbloc type is the same as the origin type except you don’t have to grease it.

If the question was about the lower suspension arm I have nothing to offer.

Yes, thanks.  It was sorted by using pairs of thin locknuts in place of the original full nuts.
