All the manuals for our engines say to adjust tappets when hot. For several reasons I would like to set up while cold initially. Looking at other makes which give figures for both hot and cold it seems no difference for inlet and 2 thou for exhaust, ie, not a lot.

Does anybody have a figure-or even a ballpark figure- for cold adjustment for tappets please?

      Thanks

I’m not sure you should knee the engine when it’s up to temperature. Hitting it with a wooden mallet will prevent burning your knee.
