Hi There.   I have a 1950 11BL that was imported into the UK in December 1970, and currently wears a 1970 registration plate (EMM151J).  This irks me a little.

Has anyone gone through the process of applying to DVLA for an age-related plate?  I can find advice on their website for registering newly imported vehicles, and for registering reconstructed vehicles, but I couldn’t find guidance for how to get a 1950 era registration for a car that was first UK-registered in 1970.

Any tips on how to proceed would be gratefully received.

      thanks

      Paul

        Paul,

I only have experience of registering recently-imported vehicles but I found the above on the Web.

Unfortunately, it is not very current so I suggest you contact DVLA and ask.  If it is still possible, the TOC will be able to supply the necessary age confirmation.

        B…..
