A heads up for anyone coming to France.

Petrol prices are currently running at 2.20 € to 2.30 € per litre.

Total have extended their cap on all fuel prices at 1.99 € per litre. No fuel will be more. This means that you may find E5, E10, standard diesel and super diesel are all 1.99 €.

You might find cheaper in a supermarket but not on the autoroutes or in general petrol stations.

Thank you for the update Roger.  I am driving to the south west of France at the beginning of October in my 1957 Citroen Traction.  I will be watching the consumption very carefully !!

          Joseph,

You may have picked upon my query regarding private messaging and Bernie’s reply.

Since the forum does not have that facility, here is my email address. roger@rjgeng.com

We are in SW France, near Saint Gaudens, at the moment and will still be here in October. If you are coming close and would like to meet up, drop me an email.

Unfortunately, my TA is tucked up in UK after our trip down here earlier this year.
